Occupational Causes of Infertility

Now a days majority of people facing infertility problems, In most cases this depends upon our life style and the type of work people doing. Here we describes some of occupational causes that leads to infertility.
Over exposure to certain environmental factors can cause low sperm production which leads to infertility, some of them are over exposure to toxins, heat and certain harmful chemicals. Also some kind of metals, pesticides and solvents can affect infertility in both men and women.
Some of the causes involve:
  • Exposure to certain heavy metals such as lead may lead to infertility.
  • Exposure to radiation and X-rays will cause lower sperm production. If it is continuous it will permanently affect the sperm production.
  • Exposure to some kind of industrial chemicals like benzenes, xylene, toluene, pesticides, organic solvents, painting materials and herbicides may reduce sperm counts.
  • Regular use of hot tubs and sauna may cause overheating of testicles and this will lower your sperm count temporarily.

  • Sitting for a prolonged time
  • Working on laptop without cooling pad for long interval of time
  • Wearing tight clothing
